A small town in the community of Queens, New York which is noted to be among the fanciest place to dwell is the area of Bayside. The community is a portion of Queens Community Board and is one of the areas that are well kept. The history of this community started way back 2000 B.C. when the area was initially occupied by the Native American tribe called Matinecock. Then afterward, it was inhabited by several settlers century after century. In the year 1920s, a lot of actors and actresses reside in this community. It was then noted as the "it" spot because of the rich residents’ mansions that are located in the area which until now still exist. The community of Bayside is situated in the northeastern part of Queens, on the North Shore. This place is outlined by nearby neighborhoods Oakland Gardens to the southern part, to its west by the two bigger communities of Whitestone, Queens and Flushing, Queens; and Douglaston to its east. Bayside has several main highways which are the Long Island Expressway, Clearview Expressway, and Cross Island Parkway. The Francis Lewis Boulevard is among the main street of this community. There are several parks in the community including the Alley Pond Park, Throggs Neck Park, Raymond O'Connor Field, and John Golden Park. Bayside is also featured on several films and TV series including the 1997 episode of NYPD Blue entitled "Taillight's last Gleaming”, The Nanny Diaries (movie), and the movie Pride and Glory.
