Calcium is a small town within the county of Jefferson, New York. It has an estimated population of 3,516 according to 2007 census. Before, Calcium was called Sanford's Corner and is located in the Town of Le Ray. Situated 69 miles north of Syracuse, New York and 171 miles northeast of Buffalo, New York this small town has a total land area of about 5.6 square miles which makes a shorter traveling time compare to some places around the area. Most of the people in the community drive to work and about 25% of the total residents occupies their own homes. The real estate taxes in this community are low when compared to the New York standards which are why a lot of new houses are being constructed within the area. Calcium is being occupied by various races today and men are excessively common in the community. |
