New Windsor

New Windsor is a municipaltiy in the county of Orange, state of New York, United States. The area population was about 24,966 as of the U.S. Statistical studies. New Windsor is the eastern part of the county, bounded the Town of Newburgh and the City of Newburgh. The National Purple Heart Hall of Honor is situated on Route 300 in the municipality of New Windsor. The district was a part of treaty authorized to John Evans during the 17th century. New Windsor Town was established in 1762. The current seperations of the town consists Rock Tavern,Vails Gate and Little Britain. The section that is now surrounded the town was authorized by a treaty to Capt. John Evans during 1694 up to 1699. He was authorized a power and privileges as a Lord of the Manor. Capt. Evans had abandoned the treaty following the year of 1699 and in 1709 they are of the town nearby Hudson River is established under the Precinct of Highlands. That dwells until 1743 as the precinct that is annex to New Paltz. In 1762, the precincts are divided to develop for the municipality of New Windsor and Newburgh. The town’s name came from Windsor England; the “new” term is being joined. By whoever it was discussed cannot ensure, but certainly is bound to commemorate the dominance of the town. During the Revolutionary War, the New Windsor acts as the Main depot for the Continental Army and Army Medical Department, the majority of the Town people served the war sacrifices and its superiors.
