Niagara Falls are created during the time when glaciers subside at the edge of the Wisconsin glaciations which is the last ice age and water from the recently formed Great Lakes created a path cross the Niagara Escarpment en route to the Atlantic Ocean. When it’s not particularly high the fall is very extensive. Operating the balance among recreational, commercial, and industrial uses had been a threat for the manager of the falls during the time of 1800s.
