Watertown is a city and the capital of Jefferson County, New York United States. It is located along the Canadian and Thousand Islands boundary. As of the Millennium Statistical Studies the area population was 26,705. The U.S. Army is base in the city as well as the post Fort Drum. The name Watertown is came from different falls found in the Black River that was established in the ancient 19th century as a producing center. In the ancient 20th century for all the years of managing the industrial resources the city would have to be more millionaires per capita rather than to different cities in the Country. People in the Watertown created a comfortable and private architectural heritage. Watertown is the smallest city to be created by Frederick Law Olmsted which is the famous landscape architect who also made the Central Park in New York City. Geologically the city is placed in the central area of Jefferson County beside the 72.0 miles north of Syracuse, New York and 31 miles in the south of Canadian boundary. Watertown is supported by the Watertown International Airport. The city is famous because the area is the birthplace of the “Five and dime” and the safety pin. It produces the first portable steam engine. The ,city had the extensive manufacturing county fair in the United States that carry the Red and Black football election, which is the ancient surviving semi-professional team in the United States. |
